Slough International joins UK Pallets network
Freight forwarding company, Slough International, has become the latest addition to the UK Pallets member network. UK Pallets, the palletised distribution arm of the Business Post Group and one of the largest operators in the express pallet delivery market, is reportedly delighted at the mutually beneficial business relationship. The strategic move marks the latest in a series of developments designed to expand UK Pallets’ network and strengthen the service it offers to its customers.Slough International officially joined the UK Pallets member network on 14th August following on from a three year relationship with United Pallet Network (UPN). During this period the Slough-based, pan-European logistics company developed a hugely successful palletised distribution operation with a vast and loyal portfolio of clients.
Managing Director, David Matthews, decided to make the strategic move to UK Pallets this year citing a number of reasons for this decision. Amongst these were UK Pallets’ flexible range of palletised freight delivery services, dedicated customer service teams and progressive approach to the pallet industry. Matthews was also quick to identify the advantages of a relationship with UK Pallets whose network of over 70 members and size of operation sets it apart from other smaller palletised distribution networks.
Slough International will be distributing and collecting palletised freight in the SL post code area which covers the whole of Slough in Berkshire. Looking forward the business plans to increase its prominence in the palletised freight industry by obtaining new postcodes and strengthening its presence in the South. Expansion is clearly key on the agenda.
